Pine Marten is a very well equipped and cosy cottage. We both said how well wed slept the whole week the bed was very comfortable and it is so quiet. Early in the morning there were several deer in the field at the back. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. We ate a few meals at home as we were not able to find many local eateries which were dog friendly. Many places have outdoor areas thats ok in nice weather but this is November. Not the fault of Pine Marten! The house is warm and cosy our first experience of a heat pump. Impressed. The hot tub was a welcome at the end of the day! We have had a lovely break in Pine Marten.

I can only describe our stay as absolute heaven and we loved every minute. It's very rare you find a place you like the look of and it lives up to expectation, but the Pine Martin certainly did! The location is amazing, so secluded and quiet but also close enough to the local town and a stunning beach. It's a great base to explore from or place to relax and recharge! We will be back.

Fantastic lodge with a peaceful outlook and top rate facilities. We loved the hot tub, the kitchen wanted for nothing, and the accommodation was lovely and warm throughout. In nearby Dornoch, we especially loved Greens for meals, and of course the golf in the area is magnificent.

Lovely place to get away too, if your into your beach walks and good food it is a great area to be in. If your into your whisky it is prefect. Dornoch is the place to be in the Malt Whisky industry on the mainland.

We had a lovely time in Pine Martin Lodge, the space was great for 5 adults and 2 dogs. Outdoor space was great for dogs that can be off lead and lovely patio area to relax if you get the weather. There is a small enclosed stoned area at the rear of the house but the majority of the outdoor space is not enclosed. The Lodge was spotless, not one thing out of place. Some of the group found the beds very comfortable but others didn't which I guess is a personal preference. Very quiet and secluded which was brilliant. Great location to visit different parts of the Highlands.

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Very comfortable and well equipped for our stay. We really appreciated the welcome treat basket, and the gorgeous Christmas decorations were a lovely surprise. Hot tub was fabulous! Owners provided useful communications and information. The only slight negative is that the towel provision was limited to one relatively small towel per person, so I recommend you bring extra towels especially if you want to use the hot tub which you definitely should!. Thank you for a wonderful and peaceful NYE family break.

We had a great week stay at Christmas . The lodge was decorated for us and had a huge lit tree outside . The lodge was cosy and clean . The beds were comfortable . The kitchen had everything we needed . We used the bbq and chiminea on the patio It is set in a lovely peaceful location but not too far from Dornoch . The hot tub was very nice especially after our sea swims ! We would definitely recommend Pine Marten Lodge

The accommodation was amazing, clean warm and comfortable. Only gripe was that it was listed as had an open fire but only had a fire affect fire in the lounge, needs clarification! A few recommendations would be hooks for dressing gowns towels by or close to hot tub, and a flat mob or a dustpan n brush other wise no complaints, beds large and comfortable. Location marvelous! Highlights were deer passing and star gazing in the hot tub. Definitely will re book

We had a great long weekend at Pine Marten. We loved the property, excellent facilities, hot tub was great. Fab location. Our only feedback would be that seating is tight for 6 adults on the 2 sofas. We ended up bringing in the cushions from the outdoor seats for some os us to sit on in the evening

It was one of the best cottages we had on our scottland tour.

For tranquillity in abundance this lodge was perfect, we have two small dogs, one of whom is now blind and deaf, he loved the fact he could come and go from the large paved area accessed from the lounge. The lodge was spotlessly clean, warm, felt cozy, modern but with traditional elements cleverly mixed in. Was also the perfect spot to visit lovely Dornoch and explore the east side of NC500.
