About Sealladh Mor

Sealladh Mor is a stunning two-bedroom lodge perched on an elevated position in the Scottish Highlands. This exceptional property offers breathtaking panoramic views across the valley that simply must be seen to be believed. The name translates from Gaelic as "Big View" - perfectly describing what awaits you.

Set in a peaceful rural location near Rogart in Sutherland, this is the perfect base for exploring the northern Highlands. The area offers fantastic walking trails, abundant wildlife and beautiful beaches just a short drive away. Many guests report spotting deer, wild goats and seals during their stay.

The accommodation features two beautifully appointed bedrooms - one king-size with en-suite shower room and one double - plus a family bathroom with bath and shower over. This is a unique property. It has all that we could ever need, but what makes it so different is that it is a place of peace. We were totally refreshed from our stay the walks to the loch, the brunches in Lairg, the waterfalls and the breathtaking beauty. The hosts are amazing. It is fantastic.
We started going away for Christmas three years ago, and this has been our favourite stay by far. What an incredibly beautiful place to spend the holidays. The cottage has absolutely everything we could need and more, and Grant and Angela were such lovely, welcoming hosts. We always find it difficult to find somewhere that truly accommodates our three dogs, but this place was perfect plenty of outdoor space for them to enjoy, which made a huge difference. We honestly dont have any feedback or suggestions for improvement this place is truly wonderful. Thank you for giving us such a special Christmas, and Happy New Year to you both and the dogs too!.

This is a quite delightful cottage with views to die for. The cottage is well worth the effort of reaching it, the road access is challenging in parts and the locals seem to pay little heed to the sharp bends. But that aside, it was one of the best cottages we have stayed in over the many years we have holidayed in Scotland.
This was the second time we have stayed at this property. The house is wonderful and everything we could ever need was provided. We love the views from the house and the location is perfect for exploring the area. Thanks again to the owners for their wonderful efforts to provide a stunning holiday home.

Fantastic property and owners. Honestly nothing else you could need. Its a true home from home, with exacting standards and a real sense of comfort. From the beds to the decor to the well equipped kitchen and lovely secure garden for our 3 dogs, everything is taken care of. Owners were lovely and there was nice welcome basket too. Came here after a disappointment at another property and could not have been happier.

The house is immaculate. It is furnished and equipped with great taste and with careful consideration. As dog owners, we appreciated the enclosed garden and the advice on local walks given by the owners. We thought that the area was very interesting there was lots to see and do and nice places for going out to eat. We relaxed in the hottub most evenings. Above all, we loved the peace, tranquility and just gazing at the view.
What a stunning place to stay the directions are great and when you arrive the view takes your breath away! The house is beautifully appointed with everything you need and is immaculately clean the beds very comfortable. You can sit in the hot tub and either admire the daytime view or the stars at night we were lucky enough to see the northern lights too. The garden is large and secure and our dogs had a wonderful time we could sit outside and relax watching them play or explore. Were definitely going back
A wonderful property with everything you could need for a fabulous stay. We spent 2 weeks here and had the best time ever! Its a perfect base for exploring the northern highlands & everything this area has to offer. The property was spotless, comfortable and our dogs Olive & Freya loved the enclosed garden. The hot tub was a perfect end to the day after waking & exploring for miles. The hosts are very helpful and friendly but never intrusive. The wildlife is on the doorstep, we saw so much. On a clear night the night sky is amazing. Epic view from the house and the sunsets were something else. Weve been visiting the highlands every year for the past 15 years and this was the best one yet, we will definitely be returning. Its an amazing location and a fantastic home, just perfect. What a wonderful property! It was so comfortable, with everything we could possibly ever need, including a great enclosed garden for our 2 dogs. My husband said it's the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed in some amazing ones!
This property is finished to a very high spec, everything is well finished and presented. The beds and soft furnishings are very comfortable. Had a wonderful stay for my husband's 50th birthday. Hosts, Grant and Ange were lovely, very helpful and on hand but never intrusive. The hot tub was a lovely way to relax after a day of sightseeing and the view is absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage. The only thing to be aware of, if you have dogs, is that they aren't allowed on the furniture or in the bedroom which I must have missed when reading the information but this is just a personal thing, not a bad reflection on this property. The cottage was clean and tidy and had everything necessary for a relaxing home from home break in the countryside. The view is magnificent and the fact that the area surrounding the property is completely fenced in makes it ideal for allowing the dogs complete freedom to run around and enjoy themselves. The hot tub was an added bonus and was used most evenings even although the weather was pretty grim. I would definitely recommend staying at Sealladh Mor and would book again without hesitation.

22nd July 2023 we had a fantastic holiday in a stunning cottage the views were fantastic weather was good didnt have to much rain sunsets were amazing plenty to do we were out every day ullapool was very nice lovely fish and chips. Dornoch is a lovely place watched salmon leaping at falls of shin dunrobbin castle is a must birds of prey great Tain also nice Brorra beach lovely Golspie also nice food at the pier in Lairg very good.After all that travelling the hot tub was great thanks to Angela and Grant hope to see you soon Mark and Brenda.ps forgot to say about ospreys on loch fleet amazing wildlife everywhere x

Beautiful property with stunning views would highly recommend the enclosed garden was great for the dogs. Theres also a small Loch about 14 mile walk that Grant the owner gave us directions to which was great the dogs loved it we had it all to ourselves.

The cottage was spotless and beautifully decorated for Christmas, even had a real Christmas tree and the welcome hamper was really thoughtful also containing selection boxes for the kids. House and garden very child and dog friendly with amazing views and excellent location. Owners very lovely and excellent communication with them they even had the log burner lit for our arrival. Also a huge thank you to them for helping when our car broke down they went out of their way to help us fix it and a big thank you to them. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this cottage.

The location was great with 180 views across valley. Accommodation was excellent a real home from home. On arrival, Grant talked us through the cottage facilities and gave us some recommendations on places to visiteat. There are lots of walking trails in the area which are worth a visit. Using the hot tub after a day out was an added bonus.

This is the nicest holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. The views are amazing and the pictures do not do them justice. The cottage itself is also wonderful and has everything you could want and the hosts give you a very warm welcome. We enjoyed many walks in the surrounding area and the fully enclosed garden is ideal and our dog loved it. Finishing the day in the Hot Tub looking at the view was perfect.
